LOCATIONS: NORTHALLERTON AND YORK (Athena House)
RANK/GRADE: SCALE 5 – SO1; £22,668 - £30,195 per annum (subject to successful completion of career progression plan)
HOURS: FULL TIME
We are currently inviting applications for two full-time posts in the role of Intelligence Analyst (Partnership), positioned within nexus from Northallerton and York.
Nexus is the team within North Yorkshire Police which help drives service improvement, supports HMICFRS activity including the Force Management Statement, leads on understanding current and future policing demands, and is developing an exciting approach to data analytics. A relatively new team, our work is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the changing policing environment as we seek innovative approaches to improving service delivery.
The post-holders will be responsible for undertaking strategic and thematic analysis in support of the broad scope of the teams’ activities. This will include the production of the force Strategic Intelligence Assessment/ Force Management Statement and multi-agency problem profiles that are created in conjunction with colleagues, utilising environmental scanning and predictive modelling. In addition, the roles will require a high level of integration with internal and external partners and the use of open source information. Post-holders will be expected to spend time working with partners, sometimes in different local locations to facilitate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our policing activities.
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals that have:
- A questioning, logical and analytical problem solving approach with excellent planning and organisational skills
- Previous experience in analysing and sharing complex data with internal or external partners
- Previous experience in building positive and beneficial professional relationships
There is an expectation that any post holder will undertake all required training and development as set out in the associated Career Progression Plan.
